I go by MJ. I love languages, learning about different cultures, art, food, animals, nature, and space. I really like cooking for people. I enjoy painting, drawing, taking pictures, and making cool shit in what little free time I have. I like walking around and getting lost in different places. Otherwise, some people say I'm overly attached to my dog.
I study astrophysics. A lot of my work is in scientific outreach and getting the public engaged. I've also spent a lot of time working with International teams from high schools around the world, getting kids excited about STEM. I like teaching and helping people. But I'm a bit of an awkward southerner so most likely I'll just try to feed you if you seem sad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I guess last year, I took some of my savings from the summer, blew it on a trip to Romania with some long layovers in Paris, and royally pissed my family off when I spent 16 days in Europe meeting up with some old friends and exploring instead of coming home for break. Totally worth it. Definitely an amazing experience.
