About Me
Hello fellow surfers,
I am Myronas, currently an architect in Athens :). I consider myself a very warm and kind person, mostly social (but also anti-social at times), pleasant to spend time with, and very curious about life, in a lot of aspects. I like to meet new people, get in new situations and generally explore places, people and myself!
I am lately a bit interested in politics although much ignorant about it and it's history. Also I am very aware and sensitive about the ecological crisis that humanity and the world experiences and I have studied a bit about permaculture and how it relates to abundance and autonomy. Ever since I am aspiring (deep inside) to become self sufficient and and as much as I can, independent from capitalist society. However this plan is postponed for later in life since I feel that I still have a lot to figure out about myself in the urban context.
I am also discovering reiki at the moment and pathways to surrender and emotional well being!
My latest passion for the time being is calisthenics. I am trying to succeed in handstands !!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have hosted a few couchsurfers, and all of these experiences were really great. To have a chance to stay for a while with people of different backgrounds and lifestyles especially in a young age, was really helpful for me to get glimpses from whole new other worlds. Helped me question stuff and get to know more about me and what I 'd like to do maybe.
I like couchsurfing as a tool that brings people and travelers together, and I believe meeting new people at the same time of exploring a new place, is a holistic and precious experience.
I have been hosted twice, both in Belgium, while trying to find a place for short time stay during my internship there, and I enjoyed it even in this situation that was not traveling rather than getting to live in a new place for a while.
Then for a while I didn't use the app but now I feel like I need a bit of inspiration from surfers around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling to Germany with my best friend (with whom I was platonically in love) just for a music festival in which our favorite band at the time (nightwish) were playing. One of the greatest nights of my life.
Travelling alone for the first time in a young age and in secret, to meet in person a boy I met online and had started falling in love with. (the things we do for love right?)
The Camino de Santiago, (the Portuguese one). Well only last three stops - 80km but still an amazing experience. We walked with a lot of people that my friends brought along from their Erasmus experiences. Totally a brilliant experience to walk with people from different backgrounds for a common purpose and get to know and bond with each other in the way.
All the trips that I 've done with my friends from uni that are now like family to me!!
