About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hi! I am looking for a flat to rent or a shared colocataire situation in paris. does anyone have any ideas or know of anyone looking for a roommate? thanks!

ABOUT ME

Easy going. Up for adventure but also very relaxed and into having my own time, time with friends and going at a pace that makes sense to me at the time. I'm learning to play the fiddle. Sometimes it is good. Sometimes frustrating for me and for those who are listening maybe!
I'm a cook for work. Love it.

PHILOSOPHY

Be peaceful and kind, true to your intuitive self.
Don't neglect your dreams.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this community. I want to make connections with good folks. I'd like to host but I don't really have a permanent home. My temporary home is pretty friendly though. Would like to meet and connect with new people, people with different perspectives, people who want to chat, have a walk, have a coffee, a drink, go climbing, play music, share a meal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any particularly. But I did do a few trips in France where I met some people who offered their couch while I was on a hitchhiking trip. Ended up great. Hitchhike out of Carcasonne in France and picked up by a very friendly dad named Roger and his daughter who took me and my at the time travelling partner to his houseboat for coffee then ended up inviting us to stay with them at their cottage for the night on the mediterranean. Another time, picked up hitchhiking when living in the forest in Fontainebleau spending days climbing and a lovely woman picked me and my travelling buddy to her house, offered a bath, a meal, a bed and an invitation to return! I still keep in contact with her! She's awesome!

Interests

Music, cooking, hiking, mushroom picking, activity, outdoors, people. Nature. Learning more about myself. Oh what an ongoing project! (Thankfully!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Jill Barber. I just got into her. She's from Halifax.
I do enjoy a good fiddle jig.
Movies, reaching back to my childhood, The Princess Bride still probably tops my list.
Books, well, I read a lot of cookbooks or cooking related books. For factual information I love "The Science and Lore of the Kitchen" by Harold McGee. Also love the book "Food in History" by Rhea Tannihill.
Read a lot of fiction too, can't really pick out a favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things.... traveling has provided me with a lot of great experiences. Traveling to Jerusalem, Egypt, Europe.
The wild west coast of BC is beautiful. Hiking the Squamish Chief backside trail just after a crazy snowstorm with high winds, huge epic, with a great friend. Made it back alive and so psyched.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share music. I can share cooking. Company. Happy conversation.
I like to learn. Anything you have to offer I would like to hear your take on things.
