Martina, a Chinese university student majoring in English, who is fond of American culture and life. So I am right here from June to October, 2013. If you are interested in Chinese culture as well, then welcome. There is no advantage of certain culture over another. Just respect, enjoy and learn from each other. Every day of my staying in the US drives me forward. I do cherish it. Keep moving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is suggested by my teacher and my friend as well. I know it is a stage for those people who are in need of help, and also who are expecting to make friends and enrich their life experiences. It does provide an opportunity for people from different countries to share great minds and wonderful things. So thank Couchsurfing,you make impossible things possible.

Interests

I like sports such as badminton, jogging, hiking, cycling, etc. For young people, we should pay more attention to our health in daily life. Meanwhile, I love the charm of nature, mountains, rivers, fresh air, sunshine and birds' singing. Everything is in harmony. What's more, I like Chinese cuisines so much, which are delicious and nutritious. I am a girl who is kindhearted, easygoing and with a heart of gratitude. I want to make friends with those who have something in common.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do love the movie The Shawshank Redemption, the intricate plots do shock me. Moreover, I know the importance of persistence and hope much better. We can make miracles if we insist and work on it. I love classical music a lot, such as My Heart Will Go On， Yesterday Once More, etc. Although they are old, the melody can really ease the soul. For books, I do appreciate those that can encourage me a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Program I am participating in now should be the most amazing thing I've ever done in my lifetime. This makes my dream come true.
