About Me

I'm a fun loving and talkative Indian woman, have a 3yo daughter.. We recently became Vegans.. After an MBA from the top institute in India (IIMA), my husband decided to quit his high paying corporate job as he's not motivated by money, figured out research/teaching is his calling, enrolled in a PhD program and thus happened our move to the US which was never in the plan (though we dated for 6+yrs and I wanted to be only in India after marriage).

Note - Copy paste requests and people with not good profile/ no references will be declined. Address with the beautiful name my parents have given me. No Hey/Hi/Hello. I hope those who are sending me requests have read my profile fully..

After a few years of not doing anything with Couchsurfing - busy having a baby - now I would love to host from time to time. We need to make sure it’s a good fit for us though, so please understand if we choose not to host you. I am still trying to get my introvert husband on board with all of this 😀

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Easy way of staying connected and travel around the world. Also, I would like to host ppl frm other countries. Being at home, it will help me know more about other cultures and vicariously experience their travels..

During my first CS experience in Germany, there were other surfers from Russia and Finland. We were staying at an apartment of a French guy. We were people from 5 different nationalities! I never expected that.. had an amazing time and cooked an Indian dinner for all.. That gave me the courage and confidence to trust in people and now i want to try out more of CS.. Besides, staying with a native will give a wholesome experience of the travel especially during solo travel.. Again, I was part of a potluck in Hamburg with ppl frm 7 different countries (when I stayed at a German-US couple's place)..

We hosted a single mom from Sweden travelling with a 4yr old kid in India and we got connected really well..

Loved my Europe and India CS experience.. Continuing in US with lesser frequency. Open to host from September 2022.
