Hello, my name is Naoko, from Japan.

I'd like to meet up people from all around the world. Meeting different people gives me a lot of inspiration about
how to make my life more interesting.

I've had a really good experience both as a couchsurfer and host.
What I enjoy while traveling is to chill out somewhere nice local place and having a cup of coffee or beer.
I love nature and enjoy hiking and camping. My favorite thing is making fire and bush cooking.

I’ve never worked as full time worker as I doubt “work life balance”.
I just wanna live my life to the fullest so that to open myself to the unknown world which is good method to get my point of view for world and life.

Traveling alone provides me a lot of opportunities to get involved with people who otherwise I'd never know and this makes my life very special.

Now I’m interested in martial arts, yoga, Ayurveda, permaculture, skateboarding, and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I go on trip, the most special thing is meeting new people, as well as going new places.
Couchsurfing provides me with an opportunity to meet people and have closer relationship with them. This makes my trip more precious and memorable.

Interests

I like learning new languages. I want to polish my English skill until it become perfect. I also want to learn other languages such as French, German, Swedish, Korean, Chinese,Vietnamese and a lot more...but now I need motivation!
So meeting people who speak different language gives me a motivation to learn it, so it is one of what I am expecting form couchsurfing.

I do yoga and taekwondo practice when I have time.
I'm also like outdoor activity (I cannot say I'm good at though), and want to try skiing, skating, canoeing, trekking, and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fantasy, and my favorite movie and book was Harry Potter series and the Lord of the Rings when I was kids.
For music, I listen anything but I especially like acoustic music and relaxing classics.
I’ve played the clarinet for more than 10 years and currently practicing ukulele.

Decided to travel instead of having routine life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Japanese, and origami.(Japanese art of folding a square paper and make some shape)
I like cooking, so I am happy if there's any chance to cook together or serve Japanese food (but vegan cooking preferred)
