It has been a dream of mine to travel and visit amazing places and meet lots of people. I've been very lucky in that I've had some wonderful experiences already, including through my work, however the busy city life is no longer for me, and at the end of last year I decided now was the time to travel for myself and I finally took the plunge and booked my flights!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting locals and learning all about the various cultures is an integral part of travelling to the other side of the world for me. This is going to be a once in a lifetime experience and I would love to make the most of this trip.
I'm ready to try lots of new things, learn about local life, and meet loads of great new people, and couchsurfing seems like the best way to do that.

Interests

I love sport and being active, with swimming and yoga my two absolute favourites things to do. Surfing I've tried a number of times and I'm just about able to stand up on the board! And so I can't wait for more opportunities during my travels to try and get better.
Reading is another favourite past time of mine.
I also love music (I enjoy piano playing), speaking French (I used to be pretty good but definitely rusty from lack of use!), and food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater, Tanzania. Of all the incredible things we experienced, among my favourite were seeing the wildebeest migration and listening to the elephant calls.
