Overview
About Me
HI all :-), I'm a 44 yo mother with two sons (10 and 13). We live on a 2 acre permaculture property in New Zealand with our dog, cats, chickens, ducks and sometimes sheep. We grow most of our own food and try to live with minimal impact on the planet. I teach sustainable living on- and offline. I work online as a leadership and mindset coach for changemakers, i.e. help people change the world. That doesn't mean I go around and preach about stuff though ;-).
My kids go to a Steiner/Waldorf school and like drawing and playing games.
I'm new to Couchsurfing but have hosted hundreds and hundreds of wwoofers and AirBnB guests over the years and stayed in a few AirBnBs. I love meeting people and hearing their stories and struggles.
I'm super-easy going (or 'laid back' as we say in New Zealand), can cope with just about anything and know how to help out and keep a place clean and tidy. I like to think I leave things better than I found them - which goes for gardens, houses and people ;-).
If you're traveling, we can host you in the house anytime we don't have wwoofers or in the sleepout or unused AirBnB rooms... several options, but no guarantees for any specific places. If you're staying with us you'll join our happy little community of travelers, residents and wayfaring strangers that frequently gather around our dinner table. You can roam the grounds or swim in the river. We will kind of expect you to blend in with the madness, sit back and enjoy the experience (we're all very sociable and used to having lots of new people around). Be polite to our other guests and sorry but we can't tolerate excessive alcohol, parties or drugs. We sometimes jam at night, bend into funny shapes in the lounge (i.e. do yoga) and have been seen to involve visitors in spontaneous group singing sessions, campfires, weed foraging tours or other rural adventures. We LOVE to inspire and be inspired.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet local people and really get a feel for the place. Also offering the opportunity to experience permaculture and sustainable lifestyle thinking and practices.
Interests
I'm doing yoga most days and love spending time outside in the garden. I also love meeting people and spend a lot of time chatting with all the different people who come and stay with us.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like folk, intelligent lyrics and have an old faible for German punk rock music. I love 'I am not your Guru' and for entertainment loved "The greatest Showman'. I don't get to read many novels but LOADS of personal development books.
