Overview
About Me
Hello, I joined couch surfing because I love the idea of being able to share a home with other people and it also seemed like a great way to experience somebody else's in a way that allows you a glimpse into the local experience more than anything else.
I've been traveling in southeast Asia for the past 4 months and am heading to Europe at the end of May this year. I spent a couple of months working at a place in Lao called the green climbers home, a rock climbing camp near thakhek. Since then I switched to primarily bicycle touring around Thailand and certainly have enjoyed that speed of life. I'm hoping to get the cycle over to Europe and continue that free flowing lifestyle for a bit more
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel as if in my own travels, I've been overwhelmed with the kindness that has been given to me, people so ready to welcome me in any way possible, that I felt quite inspired to do the same. I want to get away from the idea of ownership and get back to sharing and giving to others what I can.
Interests
- rock climbing
- bicycle touring
- classic literature
Music, Movies, and Books
I would say my two favorite authors are Steinbeck and Dostoevsky, but I absolutely love reading the classics.
Musically, I grew up playing the trombone and really fell into ska and punk music accordingly, but I love all types of music in their own way.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I write poems, once in a while they come out pretty good.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty psyched on the idea of hosting rock climbers. I know the local bouldering pretty well, amongst other areas
What I Can Share with Hosts
First and foremost, I can share an open space and a hospitable atmosphere.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Dominican Republic, Laos, Thailand
