About Me
CURRENT MISSION
continue to explore the world and myself
ABOUT ME
I find the greatest value of life is in making connections with people. Learning about each other and the world around us, no matter where we are.
My parents are from England, and as such I have traveled there and throughout Europe (Scotland, Germany, France, Italy), also a fair bit in the Americas and the Carribean. I am continuing my travels and also trying to find ways to engage my daughter (16) in doing so as well, without breaking the bank.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past I have house-swapped with other families in other countries (Montreal, London), and been a guest in others' (Florence, Cape Cod, Hamburg, Canada). This seems like a logical next step, knowing how much easier it makes to travel when you have a 'home base'.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Most of my home-stay travel experienced has been through word-of-mouth and folks that I have met and personally and been invited to my/their home. Couch surfing is a bit more formal/informal, but also offers a wider circle of participants.
Interests
I love being outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking and gardening. I enjoy cooking and sharing delicious food and conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's kind of a funny question, because mundane can be amazing like having morning coffee on the deck or visiting the library. So can taking in some new music or art, rock-climbing and zip-lining or sampling freshly made, still warm, goat's milk ricotta.
