Overview
About Me
I'm your typical young adult, filled with wunderlust, looking to explore more of this reat big world we're in, while I still can!
I love learning about cultures and languages and local fooooood!
I'm a quick learner and quite good with technology and computers, and always willing to chip in help with something if I'm needed. :)
If you're busy, I'm happy to do my own thing, but obviously if you're free it would be great to hang out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I like to get under the tourist facade of a country and find out how the real people live. So hotels and resorts aren't really my thing!
Normally I stay in hostels, but then you still only really meet other travellers.... so couchsurfing will help me find real locals and we can exchange cultures and languages and ideas!
I'm perfectly happy sleeping on a couch, or the floor or anywhere reasonably clean and where the bugs can't get to me really, and I'm a tidy person anyway, so people who let me stay don't regret it!
Interests
Travelling (of course), Swimming, Diving, Rock Climbing, Scuba, Movies, Chatting, Reading, Arty Stuff (not that I'm any good), Music & Singing.... (again.. I'm not very good but I like it!)
Really from running around playing kids games, to climbing trees, to deep life discussions, there's not much I don't enjoy.... except football... I'm terrible at football.

Music, Movies, and Books
Way too many to list, basically if its not heavy metal or deep house, I like it!
Movies, again, anything from horror, to chickflick, to rom coms.... Current favourite: Captain Fantastic!
Books..... well my favourites are Fight Club, Into the Wild, The Beach and Stargirl.... and a million more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making friends with the hostel owners in Puerto Rico and getting a secret tour from them to bio bay.... with just a handful of fellow travellers.... swimming in those glowing waters at 4am is something I will never forget.....
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, basic Spanish, and computer stuff... and anything else I have a basic knowledge of I'd be happy to share with you!
I'd love to learn any skill or sport or language or recipe you're willing to teach me! I'm a fast learner, I promise!
General insider tips about staying in London:
(All the links are things I genuinely use, and the codes gives us both free stuff!)
- Going out:
Buying drinks in London can get expensive, I use the app Drinki to get free drinks all over central London: http://share.drinki.com/PhAd/8mOMwTdHoA (promo code for an extra free drink: narmani1)
- SIM card:
Its really easy and cheap to get a British sim card for your phone. Two choices, either you can buy a sim card in any high street shop, OR buy it online and manage it easily. You can use this operator to entirely manage your sim online: www.giffgaff.com and it works out cheaper than most regular buy in store brands.
- Currency Exchange:
When you visit the UK, you may want to use the Revolut app, it makes currency exchanges free https://revolut.com/
- Getting around:
I always recommend taking the train or bus, since we have a pretty good public transport network around here. You can use google maps along with http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.
If you need a taxi, you would be better off using the Uber app. It's cheaper than normal taxis and your first ride is free or almost free: https://www.uber.com/invite/neekia3ue
(promo code to get a free £5 credit: neekia3ue)
