My name is Nelya, but you can call me Nelly. I was born in Ukraine, but I moved to the states when I was a child. I consider myself to be spontaneous and open minded, creating a perfect combination for an adventurous life. I’m still very young and have so much I would like to do. I only started traveling maybe three years ago, but I haven’t looked back since. I have now lived in two countries I have been wildly fascinated with and hope to continue where the wind takes me. I believe in counting experiences, rather than counting the amount of countries or cities one has been in. My teen years consisted of restricted living by working three jobs and attending university. I wasn’t sad, but I wasn’t happy either, therefore I decided to begin this journey of exploring other cultures and meeting the people who make it. I consider myself spontaneous and laidback, creating a perfect combination for open minded travel. I like to have a good time with others, but I’m also self sufficient in my own travel- meaning I enjoy going places solo just as much as if I were to have company.

To experience the world and the people who live in it. I’ve had many pleasant experiences meeting new people and getting to know different cultures. I absolutely love exchanging interests and understanding other people, especially from two different world views. FYI, I have stayed with couchsurfers before, despite it saying otherwise on my profile. I have just stayed through other friends requests, hence why it is not listed on my page.

Interests

I enjoy life and I enjoy people. I try not to think too much about what I am going to do, rather than just going with the flow. I enjoy nature and hiking, mostly, but I don’t mind going to places with whichever company I’m with.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a psychological thriller type of girl most of the time. I enjoy books like Crime and punishment, the Giver, Fire and Ice series, and hey lets just throw in Ecclesiastics. My music tastes tend to go back and forth very often. One day I’ll be listening to ambient chill and the next I’ll listen to some heavy rock.
