ABOUT ME

Hello everybody!

I'm Nelson and I have 26 years old. I'm a friendly and fun person. I enjoy socializing with people, traveling, listening to music, and doing sports like swimming, surfing, and rock climbing.

I'm really open-minded and I love to know other cultures and views about the world. I've had the pleasure and the fortune to visit different places and countries around the world and all I can say is traveling makes you wiser and more empathic to others.

I also had the opportunity to live in four different countries, Colombia, the United States, Brazil and now I'm living in the UK.

I love to learn new things, especially languages. Currently, I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, some German and I'm learning Italian.

Since I graduated I have been working on topics related to climate change. Therefore, I'm very interested in climate change and how can we overcome this challenge. Finally, I'm currently working at the London School of Economics on topics related to climate change and the financial sector.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had so many great experiences in couchsurfing that some of the people that I met here became my friends.

I'm using Couchsurfing because I want to experience different cultures around the world and what better opportunity to experience it with a local?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked a volcano in Ecuador, I got in a car with to off duty policemen drunk in Peru driving 140km and raining. I had to wait 14 hours for a train in the middle of nowhere in the border of Serbia because I didn't had a visa. I got hit by a car riding my bicicle in the United States. I was pick up by a scholar bus doing hitchhiking in Ecuador. I left Istanbul just one day before the coup attempt in 2016. I camped in the middle of the desert in a Oasis in Peru. Hike a Volcano in Nicaragua. I went to the Carnaval in Rio.
