My name is Nessie (like the Loch Ness Monster, yeah). I'm full of love to the world and its inbabitants. Being a bit crazy, I travel (hitchhike) solo whenever I have time, with minimum money and maximum open heart. I am in love with languages (and linguistics), an avid birdwatcher, bicycle enthusiast, cosmopolitan, interested in science and magic. In looove with British comedy. Currently helping teach Russian at the University of the South.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people: they always find a way to prove humanity is just fab. Travelling is not really travelling when you're all about hotel suits and tours. I'm craving communication, "inside" experince, new connections, smiles, laughther and Couchsurfing seems to be just the right way to get it.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books ever: The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy (all five) by Douglas Adams and Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury Movies: Big Fish, the Cloud Altas, Detroit Rock City. I LOVE GAME OF THRONES!!!!! Music: My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Scissor Sisters, Deftones, Nirvana, Duran Duran, SOAD, Saves the Day
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Hitchhiked all the way to Amsterdam to see my friends! Oh that was such an adventure
Teach, Learn, Share
Id love to teach you some Russian and Polish, and how to make balloon animals. I can also draw bad portraits. Russian dishes? Easy! I'll make you some Kartoshka. Weird skill: finding full pdfs of books you wanna read but too broke to buy I would love to learn how to do extravagant make up, defy laziness (HELP!) and learn how to skateboard.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I would love to help you out with your garden if you have one: love working outdoors. Or maybe paint a wall or name a dog or sort out cookie jars. I am eager to share what it's like in Russia and in the States (lived there for a while). Not interested in romance or sex tho. Just letting yall know in advance.
