Overview
About Me
I’m an open-minded night owl who believes the best stories are told after midnight, usually over a pot of tea. I love when guests surprise me with unexpected talents or creative sparks. Whether it’s art, music, philosophy or simply the small details of everyday life, I’m curious about all the ways people experience the world.
For me, hosting is more than just offering a place to sleep. I enjoy creating a safe and welcoming space where real connection can grow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m not interested in standard tourism. What fascinates me are the people behind the places. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to share my city in a more authentic way while discovering different cultures and perspectives through my guests.
For me the real treasure is in the conversations, the unexpected laughter, and the friendships that sometimes grow out of these encounters. That’s what makes travel and hosting meaningful.
Interests
I’m into cultural venues in temporary use, urban exploration and lighting design. But what excites me most is discovering new passions through my guests. Some of my best experiences came from trying things I never knew existed until someone shared them with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It’s been a while, but it’s still my best Couchsurfing memory. I was hiking in the mountain desert of Jordan when I met some Bedouins. We talked about where I was from and where I would stay that night. To my surprise, my next host turned out to be the uncle of one of them.
They were curious how I knew him, so I told them about Couchsurfing. Excited, they asked me to help them create accounts so they could also host travelers. “Sure,” I said, “but we’re in the middle of nowhere…”
“No problem,” they replied, and sent someone off to get donkeys. We rode down to the nearest internet café in the valley, where I helped them set up their profiles. They were overjoyed to join the community and celebrated by inviting me to a traditional meal I’ll never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge about lighting design, creativity, and Swiss culture and daily life. I love showing guests hidden corners of Basel that most tourists never see.
I’m always curious to learn – whether it’s a new recipe, a song, a game, or simply a fresh perspective on life. Some of the best moments happen when guests teach me something I never knew I’d enjoy.
What I value most is spending time together: cooking, exploring the city, or having long late-night conversations over tea.
