ABOUT ME

Jack - Blue collar background and outlook. Love to learn. Fan of TED. Former competitive cyclist. Worked many years as a software engineer. Travel some - preferably by bicycle. Highest highs when teaching - the moments of insight/understanding.
Rebecca - Varied work experience...teacher, retail mgt, state legislator, sales, home health care executive, loved being a mom, love the challenge of creating a fair and respectful workplace ... she is truly an amazing mother to our daughters!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Brand new - interested in hosting travelers - and perhaps couch surfing ourselves occasionally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Jack -I hitchhiked and hosteled a fair amount in the late 60s / early 70s. I had some wonderful and memorable volunteer hosts during an 8000 mile bicycle trip crossing and recrossing North America - folks who stopped and invited me to their homes. Those were the only nights I did not camp on the side of the road.
The showers and warm meals were a godsend.
