About Me

My name is Iuliania, i’m from Moldova and I recently graduated from medical school. Before starting the next chapter, i’m taking some time to travel, meet people, and reconnect with a more grounded way of living.
I’m respectful and independent and even though sometimes I might seem a bit shy at first, i’m genuinely warm and curious. I love hearing people’s stories and learning how they live. I’m happiest when i’m surrounded by nature, exploring new places and spending time with kind people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling after graduation has always been on my bucket list. Couchsurfing, volunteering, and touring with my choir felt like the most human way to explore, not just to visit places, but to meet people, experience daily life, and understand different ways of living. I’m here to learn and connect in an honest and respectful way.

Interests

My main interests at the moment include being outdoors, walking, hiking, and exploring new places. I also love music, both listening and creating. Lately I’ve been learning Italian and some time ago Spanish and getting more into gardening.

Music, Movies, and Books

I play piano, guitar and sing solo and in a choir, so music has always been a big part of my life and the reason i started traveling when i was young. I genuinely enjoy almost any genre, it really depends on the mood, but I appreciate musical diversity. When it comes to books, I’m drawn to the kind that leave something behind, like a thought, a quote, or a feeling you carry with you, the rest i tend to forget. My favorite movie that I’ve rewatched more times than I should probably admit is The Shawshank Redemption.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Since it’s pretty recent, i’d say graduating medical school while working in a hospital. It took a lot of resilience, and i’m proud and relieved that I made it through. It is something I’ll always carry with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy learning just about anything, especially things outside my field. I tend to fixate on new crafts or hobbies, that’s how I ended up painting murals, embroidering, and trying different kinds of sports. I also teach piano, so I’d be happy to share a simple song, teach a bit of Romanian or talk about my experience in medicine. I think the best kind of exchange happens when people stay curious and keep an open mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a respectful and mindful guest. I’m happy to help with small tasks, cook something traditional from my country, or share music if there’s a piano or guitar around. I enjoy sincere conversations and quiet moments just as much. I travel light, stay adaptable, and truly value the trust it takes to open your space to someone new.
