I'm a Middle Eastern Studies student at BYU, where I also study Arabic and Sociology. I love to travel and experience new cultures and people. Specifically of interest to me is religion; both experiencing and learning about other people's religious experiences. I've been married for almost two months now and have never been happier.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the greatest reason to travel is to meet and cultivate friendships with new people, especially those that are different than you. I think Couchsurfing offers an incredibly candid and firsthand experience meeting an everyday person from wherever it is you're traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English in the West Bank for about 5 weeks. I got to live with a Palestinian and travel all over Palestine. My favorite moments were every minute I spent in Jerusalem and getting a tour of a Jewish settlement by former IDF soldiers. Both experiences were incredibly eye-opening.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, like I said, I love learning and experiencing other religions and belief systems. I definitely have many of my own thoughts to share and LOVE to hear other perspectives, especially if we can both walk away with a mutual respect and admiration for each other's beliefs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a Mormon who tends to have more liberal views of the world, religion, politics, etc. who has made it a life goal to learn and respect differing viewpoints. I'm more than willing to offer mine on anything!
