I aspire to be some hybrid of Indiana Jones and Bill Nye, but come across as more of a hippie Dwight. I believe respect earns respect, mutual expressions of this form friendships. I'm laid back, just as happy to have an intellectual discussion as explore all the different meaningless syllables I can make with someone. Acting like a buffoon helps drop your guard, but when there's a problem to be fixed I focus like a telephoto lens. So shoot me a message just to chat, or plan, or discuss, or reminisce. I want to feel a sense of community when traveling, rather than isolation in a hotel room.

Interests

I try to make my body of knowledge as broad and densely interwoven as I can. Thinking about how a concept from something like history is an extension of psychology, neurology, biology, sociology et cetera, I feel really contributes to a robust understanding and helps with recall too. The point of knowing all that is to transcend one's environment and achieve greater degrees of freedom. I'm excited to see where human progress leads in my lifetime and always glad to hear a different point of view. Once the conversation gets so deep we can't do anything but talk in circles the violin and guitar will come out to make music.
