Hello world, my name is Nico. I am a California-raised surfer, outdoorsman, and engineer. I love spending time outdoors, running, cycling, swimming, and rock climbing. I am a a cook and a meditator, and am passionate about fighting climate change, doing good in the world, and studying philosophy, cars, and music. I have only spent time in Mexico, Canada, and the US, and hope to travel the world throughout my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have only left the United States a few times, and I truly cannot wait to spend time exploring the rest of the world. I am most interested in hearing people's story, history, and what keeps them going. I am not as interested in conventional sightseeing or tourist attractions, and am much more excited about hearing local legends, respecting culture and hearing history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Summer 2022, I drove along the Pacific Coast from San Diego, California to Vancouver Island, Canada in my car. Then I cut East and explored the inland Southwest of Canada and Northwest of the US. On this road trip, I covered 2 countries, 8 states/territories, and 10 national parks!
