About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people and share experiences

ABOUT ME

I'm a very serene person, I might be perceived shy at first but once one get to know me I'm a smiling and joking person. I'm a 32 year-old international journalist.

I have just moved to a new neighborhood, a new home I can call my place, expecting to live new experiences with fellow couchers around the world and meet new friends.

I'm not a party guy but I do like to go dancing from time to time. I also like to have a beer in a pub or in a place with a good atmosphere to talk. I'm not a complicated guy either, I would enjoy having that same beer in a public park or having some local street food. The most important thing is to enjoy moments together.

PHILOSOPHY

Living is not only to exist but to exist and to create, knowing how to enjoy and how to suffer and not to sleep without dreaming. Resting, is starting to die. (This is my aim but not exactly a phrase of mine)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's always nice to know people who open your world, and feel you've known them like forever. Meeting up with people has been also a unique expirience thanks to CS to feel the countries I visit from inside. I have had hosts in Madrid (Marcelo, from Paraguay), Genoa (Gianluca, from Italy), Amsterdam (Akash, from India) Bern (Kasper, from Switzerland) and I've met up with Kadir in Istanbul, Alexandros in Athens, Roman in Saint Petersburg and Ha Yeon in Seoul. This people showed me their culture in a way I could not have learned about it by my own (see "Amazing thing I've done" section)

Hope to keep meeting more people thanks to CS

Interests

I love languages and getting to know different cultures. I like watching films and listening almost any kind of music, specially soft rock and lounge or chill-out. Sometimes I enjoy talking about politics too or going for a walk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With CS members:
-Preparing Pasta al Pesto with Gianluca in Genoa, Italy
-Strolling around Saint Petersburg with Roman and Andrey. Drinking with them Starbuck's Colombian coffee and discovering that this Latino choosed to drink iced coffee despite the Russian winter. It was funny.
-Eating souvlaki with Alexandros in Athens and finishing the journey drinking greek iced tea while having an interesting chat in Monasteraki, with the Acropolis as main frame.
-Having a "swiss breakfast" with Kaspar and Raffaela in Bern
-Drinking turkish coffee with Kadir in front of Maiden's Tower in Istanbul. And then, drinking turkish tea while smoking my first narguile.
-Eating Korean chicken and drinking Korean beer with Ha Yeon in Seoul.

Also...

Going to a nude beach in Santa Marta, Colombia. I never imagined to do that.
Walking along the Santorini coast (13km) under the bright full moon in the middle of the silent night.
Living my last 2 years of childhood in Baden-Baden, Germany.
Flying in a hot air ballon in Cappadocia.
Meeting the penguins in Falkland Islands, at a short distance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to find a person who introduces me to his/her local culture. Im able to teach/practice English or French and we might also talk in german.

I6 would love learning to cook local food. I would enjoy also to hear my host experiences traveling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could also prepare some colombian dishes that I've recently learned. Share my experience as journalist and my stories and thoughts traveling.
