About Me

When I was in high school, I had the chance to do many cultural exchanges, I was twice in France in Brest and Albi, once in Germany and once in England in Bury St. Edmunds. After high school I went to University and graduated in Translation Studies. I was an Erasmus student in Portugal, in Aveiro for one year. In Aveiro I was living with seven other people: two guys from Spain, one from Brazil and one from Colombia, and three girls, from Romenia, Poland and Russia. In our big house in Aveiro we hosted many people. Then I was for the Erasmus placement in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where I was also living in a nice big house with another guy from Italy, two from Poland and an Irish girl. I love being in a multicultural environment, share food, drinks and tales with people from different nations and cultures.

I work during summer as a waitress in a restaurant near my hometown, and then I am usually off travelling in September.

I love sports, from football to skateboarding to surfing. I am really curious, open minded and a shameless student. I hope through couchsurfing to continue to meet new people from different countries and share stories with them, like I did in high school and University.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have mostly been hosted during my travels, I just love to dive in the culture of the place I'm visiting, I don't go on holidays, I travel and try to absorb everything places and mostly people are kind enough to share with me. I have a really tight schedule between work and study here in London but I am always more than happy to help the fellow couchsurfer in need if you are kind enough to read my profile and send me a real request and not a copy paste!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing in September 2014 in the US and I asked myself why didn't I started earlier. I met some amazing hosts and had wonderful experiences with them and now host whenever I can.

Interests

I love all kind of sports, but I mainly practice football, skateboarding and surfing when possible.
I am really passionate about movies even though I wouldn't consider myself a proper movie geek, but I am working on it.

I love making my own short movies with my camera (Here's a link to one of my favourites I made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJAX0sZGt3A) and also taking pictures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of movies, watching and commenting about them, but I would say my favourites directors are Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Fincher and Nolan, even though there's a much longer list of directors that I like. Three of my favourites movies are Kill Bill, Into the WIld and Lords of Dogtown. I try to listen to all kinds of music, but I especially enjoy movie soundtracks, I like hip hop before a surfing session to charge me up, and generally listen to rock, Indie/rock, reggae when I'm chilling out. As far as books are concerned, I really enjoy classics, from Tolstoy and Dostoevsky to DIckens, Kafka, Harper Lee, Kerouac, if I have to choose some of all-time favourites books are 1984, The call of the wild and the Metamorphosis. One of my favourites Italian author is Giacomo Leopardi. To the list I must also add Haruki Murakami whose novels I like really really much.
