About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Develop art projects & get a house so I can host!

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty easy going and always excited to try something new. I am a progressive forester as an architectural timber specialist (Wood Scientist). I love forests and everything they provide us with. I also love modern line art, photography, craft beer, cynical humour and a good conversation.

I grew up in the forest 14km south of Whistler and 100km north of Vancouver BC, Canada. I moved to the Vancouver when I was 17 and have lived many places since then including Bolivia, Germany and Switzerland. I am always drawn to nature.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to learn as much as I can from other people and incorporate it into my views of the world, while always remaining open to new information.

I believe in Gaia (Mother Earth) in a scientific sense, as a larger step up from an ecosystem.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host n' surf. Talk to people and give them suggestions of places to visit. When I am in Canada I love taking people to my favourite parts and showing them what Pacific North West (or Cascadian) lifestyle is all about.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing so far! Hopefully it keeps getting better!

Interests

Photography, skiing, hiking, design, beaching, music, sustainability, beer, tea, karma, painting, gaia and science.

Developing environmentally responsible buildings primarily composed of wood and the efficient use of materials. These are not just houses they consist of massive civic structures. You can check out the company I worked for here if you are interested: www.structurecraft.com

I've got some promising art projects going on too and big plans for the future if I ever manage to get a studio. You can see some of my not so good paintings in my couch picture all hung on the wall. One day though I'll have something I really love!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to teach & learn more about sustainability from a holistic approach while still remaining practical to our societies current expectations & view points.

I would like to learn as much as possible about your home and the history behind it. I would like to teach you about my home, what I love there and what you should experience if you are ever to visit.

From CSers I am happy to learn about their world vision and cultural differences we might have. I like to see anything that is different than the norm.
