I’m Niklas, a 24 year old open minded backpacker from Germany who is currently traveling through Latin America for an uncertain amount of time.

My mantra is to go with the flow, enjoy the small things and to not take life too serious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From signing up on Couchsurfing, I hope to meet new interesting personalities who can offer me a more unique experience in the places that I visit compared to the usual touristy track.

I like to make new friends in other places and also to please others with my company as far as they like it.

So far, I have only been staying in Hostels during my travels but would like to try out Couchsurfing because I am convinced that I can meet many mutual personalities through this platform.

Apart from being open about getting hosted by others, I would also appreciate to just make new contacts over this platform who like to do activities together share some moments of the adventures that life offers us!

Interests

I‘m a passionate diver and certified Advanced open water Diver with PADI. Therefore, I love the sea more than anything else and would like to spend most of my days on this planet either inside of it or very close to it.

Besides from that, I also live to explore new places on land and to go off the beaten track. As I‘m always looking for more than the average adventure, you will more likely find me on the trail than on the paved street.

I enjoy every kind of sporty activity, ranging from mountain biking over surfing to hiking and swimming. The more crazy the adventure is, the more happy I am to join it!

Besides from all the fun stuff, I‘m also interested in ways of working remotely and like to brainstorm about new business ideas but also about deeper philosophic topics. In general, I‘m a person who likes good conversations but also enjoys their time alone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From 2018 to 2019 I have lived and worked in Australia for half a year what has changed my life forever.

The things I have learned about myself during this time, the inspiring people that I have met as well as the countless funny moments which I experienced only by making the decision to step out of my comfort zone and to explore the unknown have addicted me to travel and to seek for more in this life.

This addiction continues until that day and is the reason why I am where I am at this moment!
