Overview
About Me
My name is Nikola Hrnčiarová, for foreigners very strange name hardly to pronounce, and currently studying at Master program of European Studies and International relations at Comenius University in Bratislava. This year I am on Erasmus programme in Bordeaux at Sciences Po, which started since September and unfortunately my Erasmus finishes within less then two months.
I do love sport, since my very early age my parents encouraged me to attend some running competition (when being 5 year old, the trace was 500 metres long, but still for me it looked like it isa half- marathon of course) but luckily I haven´t stopped running and nowadays I run 10/20 km and my life goal is to run marathon. It will come true one day for sure:) Since my 10, I have been playing volleyball at national level in Slovakia and nowadays I continue playing voluntary in the countries in which I currently live.
I love being around people as every person has its own unique life story and we never know which story can influence us and help us to get inspired or to show us our own way of life. I enjoy participating and creating international youth exchanges, when group of 40 people coming from different European countries gather together, spend a whole week trying to find solutions for global issues plus try to expend their confort zone in order to help other people. That is what is the most exciting.
I do love smiling as it is the easiest and the cheapest way how to make somebody´s else life better. Sometimes only ony smile can make another person's day more enjoyable and give him or her needed energy to get through otherwise hard day. Why shouldn´t we do it when it´s so easy? :)
I also love travelling and try to travel as much as possible. There is nothing more unique than to see nature as it has been created with all its phenomenas and beauty. There is nothing more beautiful than the opportunity to see nature by your own eyes and when often your camera cannot capture the real beauty and thus you just keep the perfect picutre in front of your eyes for the rest of your life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a beginner at couchsurfing I am excited to try new thing in my life and to see what result it will bring. I have heard a lot of stories from my friends, who are couchsuring all the time and it seems once you try it, you will never want to leave it. Hearing all the exciting stories with meeting new friends with different cultures and opinions persuaded me not to hesitate and try the life of couchsurfer.
Interests
I love any type of sport. Even when there is something new, I would love to try it. During my life and when moving places, the sport was very often the mean for me to get better integrated, to easily gain new friends and thus being easier accepted in different society or culture. I also enjoy visiting galleries with beautiful paintings even though I cant draw anything, not even a small simple dog.
