About Me

IMPORTANT: I do not live in New York City. I live in the state of New York about seven hours from the city. My couch is in the city of Rochester's suburb of Fairport. Please no more requests for couches in NYC. I cannot help you.

ABOUT ME AND THE BOY
My partner Ben and I are theatre professionals in Rochester, NY. Ben is originally from Portland, Oregon, and I previously lived in Spain to learn the language and tour Europe. By day Ben is an IT security analyst.

We are drama nerds, food-lovers, and life-long learners. We believe in love, sharing, responsibility, equality, and sustainability. Some of our biggest delights are Food Network, Disney, buffalo wings, taking walks on the Erie Canal, and playing video games together. I love coffee and dark rum. Ben loves tea and Not Your Father's Root Beer. We both think Riesling goes down a little too easily ☺🥂

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like the experience of "living off of the land" and off of the hospitality of wonderful people worldwide more than the experience of a fancy hotel, etc. It's so rewarding to exchange life stories and experiences with people from other cultures, and "roughing it" makes me feel badass. My favorite travel experience in awhile was traveling to my partner's hometown of Portland. I've also had several wonderful trips to Ontario and Quebec in recent years. Ben and I are planning a road trip to the Adirondacks someday, and plan to make many stops at little-traveled spots along the way. This summer we'll return to Oregon, this time to the coast. I will be Couchsurfing my way down to Charlotte, NC on my own this spring.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've unofficially couch-surfed in New York City and Harrisburg in the United States. Through the website I've surfed in Madrid, Ireland, and London and hosted people from Canada, Spain, and Sweden. I love the Swedes. Send me more Swedes! God, I miss Sweden.
