About Me
안녕! I go to Allegheny College to study photography and believe that this world offers us much to appreciate. I love traveling myself as much as I enjoy a fellow traveler's company. I hope our momentary joining of paths turns out to be a beautiful one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
“People” is often the best, most memorable, and meaningful part of any trip. Wonderful moments shared is simply the wonderful moments best spent. People here at Couchsurfing seem to understand it as well as, if not better, than me. And, of course, I’m not going to forget about the part where it saves a handsome amount of room fee as I travel myself. You know, the money that I would rather spend in doing something amazing together with my host!

Music, Movies, and Books
Like many of us, I have way too many and disparate types of music that I absolutely love that it's impossible to summarize in a few words. At the moment, I am enjoying Tash Sultana, Grizzly Bear, Aterciopelados, The Dø, Gus Dapperton--and Damien Rice only if it's raining outside.
I love movies that teach me something about life and human nature. In other words, most movies out there. I love movies with very tight and well-structured plots like Black Swan or anything by Nolan, but I also love slow and candid movies like Manchester by the Sea or anything by Nicole Holofcener and Hong Sang-soo with protagonists whose lives feel more like those of extras. Movies like Birdman that feel magical and realistic simultaneously never fail to delight me either.
Speaking of magical realism, I am a big fan of Gabriel García Márquez, and One Hundred Years of Solitude remained as my uncontested favorite book for a very long time. Like a child, I love fantasy novels with heroes who manage to adhere to their well-established sense of virtue through their hardships. Although fictional, they awaken the child inside of me who always wanted to live like them. I have always loved Paulo Coelho's works, from his early years, where he rambled but ended up awakening people, to the latest works from which we can feel his age. Say what you will, but my favorite book is Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Not only because it was given to me by my uncomparably favorite person in this world nor only because of its cheap, but penetrating philosophies, but also because it allowed me to see that the kind of love my parents harbored for each other, that I always used to pity, was in fact unbelievably beautiful.
