ABOUT ME

My life revolves around traveling, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. As a nature enthusiast, a lot of my travels include getting to know the local flora and fauna, especially birds.

After traveling extensively around the world, I have finally settled once again back in Cape Town, South Africa, where I work as a wildlife guide. I guess I can't really claim to have 'settled down' seeing that this job sends me all over Africa!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm fascinated by other cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. I have surfed all over the world and host whenever I'm actually in Cape Town.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had a field job in an Inupiaq Eskimo village on the North Slope of Alaska for a summer; learning their culture, seeing Polar Bears, swimming in the Arctic Ocean and experiencing sun 24-hours a day.

Spent four months backpacking across eight African countries spending only $500 in total.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a lot about nature, especially birds.
