ABOUT ME

I really enjoy spending time with conspecifics and other animals but sometimes I also like to use nature as a refuge of solitude.

I guess I am an adventurous soul with a spirit of discovery, so I always try to explore the areas where I live or which I visit as much as I can. One of my favourite activities in childhood was to visit abandoned buildings and later when I studied in Berlin I had the chance to be part of an urban exploring group where we visited many interesting historical places, like the old Iranian Embassy.

I grew up in Germany but part of my family is from Ohio, US.
After working and studying in other countries in the past years I moved back to Germany recently but I am not sure for how long it keeps me here! ;)

I am trying to pursue a sustainable lifestyle, which includes a mostly vegan diet (I even tried to live raw vegan for some while ;D) , so environmentalism and animal rights are a few of the topics which interest me most.
Beside that I am interested in a bazillion other topics, so I guess there will be always material for conversations. ;)

When meeting new people, I try to avoid any classifications based on gender, age, nationality, profession, sexual orientation and physical or psychological conditions, I know that stereotypical thinking is quite a human thing but I consider it as important to at least reflect on it.

I would also say I am a hippie at heart but well... just meet me. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing was my entrance ticket into the sharing network. It enabled me to contribute to a net of shared experiences and I gained longstanding friendships. Through CS, it was easier to connect to people when I lived abroad and I even found a great collective through it (Collective Sunshine, check it out when you are in Stockholm!).
I met some really amazing people through CS with who I am still in contact and hopefully will stay until doomsday.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think I am one of these persons who have thousands of songs on their music playlist but when you ask me who is my favourite artist, I can not think of a single name ;) This might be also due to the fact, that the music to which I listen changes quite often and I am interested in many different genres, so I do not want to prioritise...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you some vegan recipes or how to walk on a slackline.

Learn:
I recently learned climbing through a friend, mostly bouldering actually. So I wanna improve in that and also try rope climbing. I am also into learning mediation techniques and the ukulele/guitar! :)
