About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to travel and meet new people so I figured why not give other people a chance to travel and meet me.

ABOUT ME

my name is David I am 28 years old and I was discharged from the army in May 2011 after serving a 4 year enlistment including a tour to Iraq. I currently live on Long Island, New York where I was born and have lived most of my life. I have a number of hobbies including chess, reading and educating myself (try to read the New York Times every day) working out at the gym (5 to 6 days a week) I also take jiujitsu and I am a big sports fan of the Mets, Jets Islanders and Knicks. I have also been fascinated by other countries and cultures and try to learn as much about them as I can. My interest shifts but at the moment I am totally captivated by Japan and anything Japanese and have been reading up on Japan and Japanese Culture. Politically I characterize

PHILOSOPHY

Politically I don't like to think of myself as either liberal or conservative because I really don't care for too much of either. If I had to label myself however I would say I am center left. I have a good mix of both liberal and conservative views. I am a firm believer that we are personally responsible for our path in life and whatever our position in life if we look back far enough it is our own fault because 9 times out of 10 it is due to a decision we made at some point. I believe in taking care of yourself and having personal pride, especially when it comes to staying in shape, I have no sympathy for people who are weak and do nothing to make themselves stronger because they believe that somebody else will always protect them. I believe that in the end it's not how much money or material possessions you have had but the places you have been, the things you have experienced good or bad, the people you have met, good and bad and the times you have been able to laugh love, and enjoy life and the world for how great it can truly be,
