About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Follow my heart...

ABOUT ME

I am enthusiastic, open minded, spontaneous, considerate, independent, a good listener and communicator, socially conscious, passionate, honest...

I take pride in my easy going nature and my acceptance of whatever situation I happen to find myself in. I think most travelers can relate to this in some way :)

I appreciate people who are willing to look at themselves, who are open to personal growth and change. I value self awareness a lot.

PHILOSOPHY

There is some amount of intrinsic value in everything that exists...otherwise it wouldn't exist. In this way I have grown to become grateful for everyone and everything and everywhere I have been in my life. I believe in, and do my very best to live by, the practice of unconditional acceptance.

Also, I understand that every being I have come into contact with has shaped me in some way, and I like to imagine myself (as well as every other living thing) as a unique piece of art...molded, painted, tattered, splattered, at times jumbled, whimsical, with bold colors and all sorts of objects plastered around...we all start as clean slates, so to speak...ready and willing for whatever life offers us. And we become products of our experiences: good and bad, (of course, experiences are not that binary...) while also maintaining some bit of our intrinsic selves in the process. But if you live with the sunrise, the breath of the earth, the energy of the soil, the tilt of the moon, then surely change is as permanent as the intrinsic self...

I think that's just about enough hippie rambling for one day ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Right after I turned 18 I went skydiving naked.

the night I spent running through the moonlit cracked earth alleyways of Agadez, Niger, celebrating the wedding of a local woman amidst the clay maze of streets and echoing of the drum. the immense love and appreciation that seemed to emanate from people's eyes and pierce my chest with such grace.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to juggle :)

And of course, I would love to learn anything you have to teach me, especially if it's slang or cooking related...both are things I enjoy heartily.
