Hi there. I'm a freelance visual effects designer based off Transylvania. I do illustration, animation and visual effects for living, and also have a lot of experience with photography, geography, astronomy and systems / network administration. I know that those fields don't appear to be related at first sight, but trust me, at a certain level, they are. I love the digital world as much as i love the natural one, and i've always strived to find the balance between the two. Used to repair computers when i was little, at the same time roaming the woods with my parents, and eventually went on to study arts and geography, while keeping the computer stuff as a hobby. All that eventually fused with my education, leading to what i currently do, which is put nice looking pixels on screen. Did tennis, fencing and swimming when i was young, and i kept a pro active approach to live , thus loving any kind of physical activity. I love nature, computers, tea, this planet and a good challenge.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I've recently rekindled an old passion of mine, travelling. And while one can do it in any imaginable way, and i used to do it a lot either in hostels or literally sleeping in train stations or anywhere i could, i find that meeting and sharing experiences with local people, is the best way to better understand the places where you travel to. And ultimately, the human element is the one that matters most. Which is one of the main reasons i chose to go couchsurfing.
Music, Movies, and Books
Here again, the list is huge, and i can't point specifically to a particular genre. If an image, sound or concept touches my soul, i like it. If it doesn't, i don't. Pretty simple. So technically i enjoy anything that has a positive effect on my being. That said, i'll list 5 of each, even if it's a very very difficult endeavor. Music: The National, Nine Inch Nails, Tycho, Deuter, Glitch Mob Movies: The Man from Earth, Moon, Eternal Sunshine, Ghost in the Shell, Pi Books: A Time of Changes, Dune, Riverworld, Ubik, Snow Crash
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Sharing less than a minute, in eye to eye contact at very close distance, with a full grown stag in the middle of the forest. It was one of the most amazing and majestic experiences of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to draw either traditionally or digitally, to read the stars at night and navigate with them, to optimize your software and hardware for maximum performance, to separate poisonous mushrooms from the good ones and also cook them, to play adventure games and to climb trees. I'm cool with sharing just about anything, and hope that you have a bunch of interesting stuff as well. If not, no worries. I can lend you some of mine.
What I Can Share With Hosts
My knowledge and experiences. They are worth more than any physical thing in this universe. At least in my book.
My Interests
The list is so large that i will barely scratch the surface, but i will try to give an idea of where my main interests are. I love spending time in nature, for the actual experience, and taking inspiration from it. At the same time i love using the computer and the infinite possibilities that are intrinsic to it, especially taking ideas / concepts and converting them into real objects and images. At the same time i have a passion for cooking, shrooming, mountain climbing, freediving, cycling, snowboarding, motorcycle riding (i really love my tenere), fencing, archery, listening to audiobooks, meditating, drawing, photography, rescuing animals and games in general, specifically adventure games.
