About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from rural Iowa, got a biology degree at the lovely University of Notre Dame, and now I have just moved to Eugene to begin a new adventure - graduate school (Cognitive Psychology) at the U. of Oregon. I love meeting new people and finding adventure in the everyday! :)
PHILOSOPHY
Live life looking always for a new outlook, with optimism and eager eyes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm just getting started in my exploration of couch surfing! I created my account while I was abroad in Rome, but why not make new connections and find new places back home in the USA?
Interests
Large, vague categories: art, science, music, politics, useless facts, tangential conversations.
Small, specific things: liquids (read: coffee, tea, wine, beer), scarves, crayons, walking aimlessly, making lists, humming, hidden courtyards, old books.

Music, Movies, and Books
Far too many to reasonably list! I like things on all sides of several spectrums. My biggest accomplishment of this week was getting all of my books beautifully arranged on my bookshelf. Theres' a lot of classics, guilty pleasure fiction, and science-y non-fiction. My i-tunes is mostly indie rock/folk with some jazz and random others thrown in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love how sunrises and sunsets always seem very momentous. They're always unique to each place, and I always try to take a moment to absorb how special even the everyday is in the golden hours: the cornfields of my home farm in Iowa, the flat green campus of Notre Dame, the mountains of my new home in Oregon, the top of the Duomo in Florence, the streets of Venice, and Gianicolo Hill in Rome.
