I am currently a Master's student in the Erasmus Mundus Programme Crossways in Cultural Narratives. I will be studying in Scotland, Spain, and Italy. I would like to take the time studying abroad to get to know more about the cultures I am visiting and get to build a good community of lifelong friends as well as interesting acquaintances.
What caught your attention from my description? Why am I a better candidate for hosting you than any other host in my city?

PAST: I traveled with my girlfriend across northern Europe. She is currently doing her masters in London, so I travel and/or host on my own unless she is visiting me, then we can both host you.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Discovering this community and the helpX community gave me a reason to travel again. I am on Couchsurfing to experience otherness, what I think is the most important aspect of traveling. I want to breathe, walk, eat as if I were another person. So, I want to see what my biases are by discovering different ways of thinking, and overcome them.

Moreover, I am interested in finding new ways of living and traveling that are based on sharing, exchanging, renewing--that are not based on the search for profit, individuality and, ultimately, isolation. I have been separated from the world during my studies in university and now I'm looking to be open to it, to learn, and to give.

Movies:
I like a wide range of genres. What I look for is not for a type of movie, but a movie well done. I like carefully crafted, meticulously planned films. I have a special appreciation for bold colors, witty dialogue, and quirky music.

Books:
I am in love with Renaissance poetry and theatre; I am moved by seventeenth-century religious poetry; my current research focuses on early 20th century Mexican literature and "muralismo", the so called Mexican Renaissance.
