Teach, Learn, Share

Want to see a bit of Russia? St Petersburg and Vyborg can be visited with out visa for 72 hours if you go by ferry.

European trains often have cheaper tickets if you book on-line, in stead of Interrail or Eurorail. In Poland, Czech republic, Slovakia and Hungary tickets still are so cheap that you have to travel 12 hours daily by train, just to get to the price of one country interail tickets

In Germany there are Länder tickets for each state (prices depend on the state, they start at 22 €) and Quer durchs land Ticket (a ticket valid for the whole country) for just 44 € only high speed trains are not included. Austria has a similar offer, but here you have to be at least 2 persons traveling

ISIC are cheap, but still if you have a regular student card, most places stil acept those. So I Dont think it is the money worth. If you are up to 26 (or just look young), not a student, but still have some card with a picture, this also some times can go as an student ID.

Learn to say one ticket please in the local language, this helps a lot, especially on the country side, where no regular tourists are comming. Other words like yes, no, thank you also can be a help.

Take little cloth with you, H&M stores or cheaper are every where. Im allways traveling alone, been to some ugly areas with everything on me - but still only have been robbed in Denmark twice (one of the safest places on earth) becourse I was to careless. Seen typical tourist been robbed right in front of me though (even if they where in small groups)
