About Me
ABOUT ME
Individualist. Open-minded but somewhat choosy. Happy to meet new interesting people!
I like intellectual discussions, long walks in the forest, European/Mediterranean cuisine and dry wine, black metal concerts, and having a chance to change the world a little bit.
PHILOSOPHY
I think I am a rather rational person. Don't believe in any kind of mysticism, neither gods nor destiny. Like etology and evolutionary biology instead. Also I am an individualist and libertarian and I think it is best to listen to yourself and to be happy for yourself, not try to live up to the society's expectations.
I like the changes which are happening in Ukraine after Maidan and the freedom spirit we have since then. I admire people who care about more than their own ass, who are fighting with the system, are not afraid to take the responsibility and who improve the place we live in in an amazing way. Proud to participate in that kind of things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To have fun with cool people. To travel and spend nice time with surfers in Kyiv.
I was staying with a couple of really great hosts in Paris and Strasbourg in October 2012. Later I met and showed around some nice people via CS and hosted some surfers here in Kyiv.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: don't really watch them too much. Some that impressed me include The Matrix, The 9th Gate and L. von Trier's Antichrist.
Music: mostly black metal, occasionally other metal bands, ambient, chillout, folk, and French chanson.
Books: A. Rand, Atlas Shrugged; G. Orwell, 1984; V. Pelevin, Generation P; J. W. Goethe, Faust; F. Nietzsche, Antichrist; A. Crowley, Diary of a Drug Fiend; L. Ukrainka, Forest Song; The Tale of Igor's Campaign etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Research for my MA thesis in Germany, great culture of science and knowledge!
A first date in the Carpathians, when we went on a romantic hiking tour to the Ukraine's highest mountain, Hoverla, without having ever met in real life before!
Teach, Learn, Share
Well... That depends on what you are interested in, as it is said here: from esoteric knowledge to practical skills ;)
