About Me

Hi fellow couchsurfers!

A few words about me - psychologist, digital nomad, adventurer, photographer, traveler and hiking enthusiast.

Some things that I’ve done; I hitchhiked across Europe 3 times, I lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park. I lived in Istanbul for 6 months

Currently traveling solo in Latin America. I’ve spent 3 months backpacking in Colombia another 3 months participating in a project in Mexico and now I have been exploring Chile, Bolivia and Argentina- slowly making my way towards Brazil :) I’m passionate about Latin culture, language and food. I decided to re-activate my account here in order to get even more authentic experience, meet local people and exchange the stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, first of all I like to meet different people and learn from each other. I’ve used couchsurfing multiple times before, both as a host as well as a guest. I also took part in some couch surfing meetings in my hometown, where I’ve met a lot of interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie and folk music the most and I'm also into the gypsy/gypsy punk artists like Gogol Bordello or Goran Bregovic. I don't watch too many movies but I read books instead. There are so many authors that I like! Here I can list some of them:
Oliver Sacks, Charles Bukowski, Kurt Vonnegut, Stephen King, John Irving, Neil Gaiman, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, J.R.Tolkien

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking through 12 European countries in 1 month :)

Encountering grizzly bear face-to-face while hiking

Climbing an active volcano

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a little bit of Polish, Spanish or English vocabulary/phrases. If you're interested, I can tell you more about Polish culture and lifestyle. I know a lot about my hometown, I will be happy to show you around and tell you all about the best things to see and do. If you are interested, I can also share some of my hitchhiking experience with you and give you some advice in case you are planning on taking this kind of a trip in the future

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always happy to socialize with hosts, talk about our experiences and stories. Usually people are curious to hear about my hitchhiking trip across Europe, or my time living in the US. I'm always happy to share my stories :). I often like to cook a traditional Polish meal for a host or, if there is not enough time, offer them a drink or some food in town instead. Last but not least, I am always ready to return the favor and be a host to you in my apartment in Gdansk :)
