About Me

We (Francesca & I) are a relaxed mid-20's married couple with two small children.

We have a great love for the outdoors; be it in the garden or in the countryside. We love travelling around various parts of the countryside be it to the coast to reminisce on Francesca's childhood on the Isle of Wight or in the Hills for mine in Derbyshire.

We have two children, currently four and two who both travel remarkably lightly.

Our other joy is food at it's various stages; growing, cooking and in particular, eating. We wouldn't describe ourselves as experts, but we enjoy exploring food from around the globe through the medium of recipe books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are new to Couch Surfing and are yet to start out on our first adventure but are looking forward to it.

We have recently moved to the Isle of Wight where we live in a small house surrounding by farmland, where we cultivate about 1/2 acre as an organic market garden.

We're new to this so bare with us!

Interests

We both enjoy Running, Walking and Cycling and pretty much any means of getting out and about in the great outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy most genres of music, unless it's on Radio 1 when I only pretend to like it!
Movies: Out of Africa, Lord of the Rings, Secret Life of Walter Mittey, Amazing Grace and many more!
Books: Usually the last book I read, at the time of writing that was 'The Almost Nearly Perfect People: The Trust about the Nordic Utopia' by Michael Booth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015 I ran the Vegan Welsh 3000's (34 miles, 12,000 feet of ascent over 15 mountains in Snowdonia) to raise money for Mountain Rescue.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Scotland, Switzerland
