Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Serendipitously, the universe aligned me and a famous poet in the same pub almost a year ago. That pub hosted an open mic night where I performed some poetry. When I got off stage the famous poet took me aside. He asked me if I wanted to study under him at the second oldest university in Europe. The only answer was yes so here I am. I am a college student and proud artist so money is always tight. That being said, couch surfing is the ideal way for me until I arrive at Charles University in Prague. Plus meeting humans is wonderful (:
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: John Mayer, Ray Charles, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jay-Z, Kendrick, Stevie Wonder, Bon Iver, Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Banks, The Weeknd, Nahko and Medicine for the people, Etta James, Al Green, Dixie Chicks, Beyonce, Gary Clark Jr., Marc Broussard, The Head and the Heart, Billie Holiday...just to name a few... Books: "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn are two books that changed my life. I always have a book with me and they range greatly.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I hiked the Cliffs of Moher and self-published a collection of poetry in Ireland.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can offer hosts personlized poems. I carry a typewriter with me wherever I go and write poems for people. They pay whatever they think the poem is worth. In this case I'd write the host a poem for simply being a host (no money involved). I can also cook fairly well and clean if help is needed. I can be a wonderful listening ear and creative sounding board as well.
