ABOUT ME
Hi!
PHILOSOPHY
It'll work out eventually.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have a couch (actually a bed) and we like new friends! Sometimes we travel and like to meet locals!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience (although I didn't know about CS.org yet) was hosting some folks for the World Esperanto Conference in Cheboksary, Russia when I was a Peace Corps volunteer there. I remember them cooking me some super awesome vegetarian food (although I also love meat). Who knew there was a world Esperanto conference?
Interests
Anything outdoors, rock climbing, mountaineering, backpacking, skiing (downhill, back-county, nordic, skate) cooking, movies, reading. I also like to make my own beer and wine and enjoy finding new ones on my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books
Leo Kottke (guitarist), Samuel Beckett (author). Other than that I generally find it hard to pick a favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once had to crawl inside the tiny engine compartment of a 39 foot sailboat at sea in Mexico to fix a serious engine oil leak.
I got to practice shooting machine guns with the Kyrgystan army once while on a rock climbing expedition.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach: rock climbing, outdoor skills, homebrewing, lots more.
Want to learn: I'll try most anything twice!
