À propos de moi

I'm a full time Hebrew teacher in a small private hebrew school in Tel Aviv where I've been living for the past decade. I also occasionally moonlight as a stage manager in a small experimental concert venue in Jaffa.
I like living in Tel Aviv, it's a lively city which attracts interesting people from all over. i know the city quite well, and I like to take my students on day trips in the and explore the city's history through its buildings and monuments.
I like music a lot, and I also play a few instruments (mostly synthesizers recently). once in a while I DJ in local bars, lately it's been new wave, minimal electro stuff. I don't do it too frequently, since I prefer drinking and talking over selecting the next record.
I love to cook, mostly Indian, italian and Israeli vegetarian food. I'll be more than happy to cook a meal for you if you so desire.
I used to cycle a lot but my bike got stolen so many times I just gave up (for now), but I really love cycling and bicycles.
so i'm pretty relaxed and moderately fun to have around, nothing crazy but just good vibes and no pressure. you should really accept my request.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

first i should make it clear this is my first time on CS so i don't have any experience on this website but i've stayed many times in people's homes, sometimes friends or just people i've met along the road.
for me travel is superficial unless I get to meet locals and talk to them about their home town, the things they like about it and the problems they see. it makes for a more fulfilling travel experience. I also find that meeting new people when traveling is usually much easier when you have a local to show you around (if you can spare the time - if not its also cool).

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like a lot of things, from country music to punk and techno. Lately I've been into dark electronic music, techno electro and minimal/dark wave stuff but I'm growing tired of it, maybe it's time for something new.
I have a small(~500) record collection which I sometimes use when I DJ.
I also have a small home studio where I make my own music using a guitar and synthesizers.
In cinema i like the works of PT Anderson, Coen Brothers, David Lynch and others. but im not really a cinema buff, music is more my thing.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Trekking in the himalaya's was an incredible experience. the spectacular beauty of the place is enchanting, after a few weeks it was very hard to leave.
I did the "around annapurna" trek which took me 3 weeks but was worth every minute. you go from lush green tropical forest to alpine coniferous, snow clad mountains and then to the desert in a few days. I highly recommend it.
