Hi, my name is Paul, I’m new to Couchsurfing, hence no references at this stage.

At the moment I’m travelling around Australia on a motorcycle. (Solo) from Brisbane to Perth across southern part of Australia to meet up with my family. I’m then heading north up to Broome and across the Fitzroy River all the Gibb River Road (if the cyclone allows) back to Brisbane.

My music taste range from World beats (Fela Kuti, Samba Toure) to old time blues (Leadbelly, Fred McDowell) and Australian punk ( The Saints, The Scientists) and a lot more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been extremely fortunate to be able to travel extensively around the world and explore new cultures and meet a huge array of people.
South Pacific, Vanuatu, Fiji, New Caledonia, PNG.
Europe, UK, Italy, Greece, France, Switzerland, Croatia
Turkey, Holland.
Indochina, China, Indonesia, Timor Leste, India, Thailand, and travelled Australia.

One amazing trip that comes to mind is , I traveled up the Septic river (PNG) in a dugout wooden canoe and explored some of the wild and remote areas which offer a very unique inside into PNG culture.
