Hello! I aim to connect musically with artists from as many traditions as possible. My particular goal in music is to connect with the energies of nature & the divine spirit, and this comes through in a vast array of settings, mostly jam sessions (doğaçlama çalma) '

I am also aiming to connect with the agricultural world in the plains and mountains, and to build environmentally conscious structures that can be the foundation for a vibrant and joyful life.

Through wandering the avenues of the world, I hope to meander through the avenues of the mind. Beginning in Istanbul & moving through the Balkans, I am eager to absorb the ways of seeing, ways of telling stories, and ways of healing through plants, and to hear the music that people in this vast, strange, and beautiful world have created -

ABOUT ME

My main instrument is violin, and after that I play clarinet & flute, and piano. I am always curious to play various other instruments, including oud, saz, setar, guitar, santuri, & percussion (on riqq, darbuka, cajon, etc) . On November 4th, 2015, I will begin a long journey starting in Istanbul, and the start of this journey will be conducted entirely through music.

(old writing:) In life I perpetually dance, build, play, and work, and cultivate an eye of love for the passions of my fellow souls, all of which form an intricate mosaic in the still-developing architecture of our collective consciousness. In my actions I seek to bring into reality as many paradigm-shifts as possible, while keeping in mind a logical grasp of what reality is capable of, and while constantly reworking and developing my ethics with each new bit of information I absorb -

I am a fanatic student of human languages, including music. Although I've learned the basics of most indoeuropean languages, arabic and hebrew, there is still so much to learn, so I am always in that process. The microcosms of individual dialect that I observe in my travels in time-space fascinate me ad infinitum, and each person I meet offers me a new perspective. I enjoy teaching language, as much as I can, as much as I enjoy the process of learning it.

I regard life as operatic, musical. At all moments I perceive a song, and I will gladly share that song with you, and even more gladly I will stop and listen to yours, or the song of silence, or the song of tragicomic irony, or that of proud and noisy and masterful buzz of voices and hands and hearts at work -

The composition of life is made ever more significant with the juxtaposition of strangers, and with this evaluation I try to extend and open myself as much as possible by experiencing new realms.

Spontaneous collectives growing from the alternative economy of the soul, are the type of places I am familiar with - I have now surfed in New York, Istanbul, Mersin, Aydin, Izmir, Athens, Vienna, Budapest, Oradea, Timişoara, Bucharest, Constanța, and Varna, and I aim to reach many more places within the next few years!
