About Me

I am in my 4th year in naturopathic medical school. I believe that the body heals itself with the proper ingredients, including good food, good movement, good rest, sunlight, clean water, meditation, and positive relationships. Healing is one of the hardest and most enriching journeys any of us can take. I am on my own healing journey so that I can share it with other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travel and the outdoors and I am casually looking for a place to begin practicing once I graduate school. While I could stay in hostels, I prefer the immersion of couchsurfing, to meet new people and experience greater diversity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in school at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, CO, we went backpacking in the Utah desert, outside of Captiol Reef National Park. We crossed a 6 ft wide trickling stream then hiked in on a dry river bed, made camp, and then next day were hit by a flash flood. We were with a large group who was unprepared for that kind of weather, so the decision was made to go back to the van. The dry river bed was now a running river, which we followed back. The tricking stream that was 6ft wide was now 40 ft wide and raging, carrying with it all kinds of silt and debris. We attempted to cross it by getting in a diagonal line and hold each other's packs, but didn't even make it 30% of the way before needing to turn back; the river was too strong and too deep. We made camp, shared layers and food, and when we awoke the raging river transformed back into the trickling stream.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been trained in homeopathy, nutrition, botanical medicine, and a body based technique for releasing trauma called Somatic Experiencing. I would love to share what I have learned with anyone.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a decent cook and conversationalist. As said above, I can also share my healing techniques.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua
