Overview
About Me
Hey, my name is Oscar. I'm 29 years old and currently residing in Oslo, Norway where I work as an IT consultant. I previously studied in Phuket, Thailand for 2 years and have a 4 year Bachelor degree from Pennsylvania, USA.
Work somewhat remote. On a mission to visit all European countries by the time I turn 30 (except countries in conflict).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My primary reason is to connect with people and to build friendships. I want to host people of my own once I get my own place and would love to experience it first hand before I do so.
I also love to talk and socialize and so learning and exchanging knowledge and experiences is a cool concept off couch surfing that I wish to utilize.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to all genres of music. I am an audiophile and so I tend to spend my free time just listening to relaxing music such as jazz, blues and classical rock. As of lately, I have listened to a lot of rap and hip hop (Kendrick Lamar, xxxtentacion etc). When it comes to my favorite type of music I would have to say tropical house, rock and calm/melodic.
In terms of movies my overall favorite genre is Comedy and Action. Most of my friends find me hilarious and due to this I've always fancied watching comedy movies. I often watch classical movies, and some of my favorites include Pulp Fiction, The Silence of The Lambs, Shawshank Redemption.
If I were to be totally honest I don't particularly read much. I'm mostly a visual person who seek wisdom and knowledge trough modern means such as YouTube and podcasts. However, once in a while I do fancy myself a good book. I've read the Harry Potter series as many others have. My favorite book is probably a norwegian book by Knut Hamsun called Sult.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my senior year of high school I traveled to Zambia (Africa) to build homes for the less fortunate as part of Habitat for Humanity. During this time I got to experience the life of a local Zambian by living, breathing, and socializing as part of their daily life. I ate, slept and worked as they would. I had bugs and insects for dinner and slept on pure concrete. It was one of the most incredible experiences I've had in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Having been to multiple countries I can share stories, facts and interesting information regarding some of the places I've been.
I can teach anything IT related as this is my passion and what I am currently working as. I also have deep interests in sports, technology, movies/TV-shows and my past experiences travelling.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Assuming you have read this far, I can guarantee that I have loads of travel stories and histories to share. Having lived and studied in multiple countries and experienced their cultures I can share insider information. Where to go in specific countries,. what to avoid and so forth. I am also a open minded individual who loves to talk and listen to anything.
I bring a lot of myself out and love to socialize and meet new people from around the world.
