CURRENT MISSION
Feeling home wherever I go
ABOUT ME
I was born and grown up in Istanbul. Then I lived in France, Belgium, Mauritania and now I am based in Vienna.
I have been on Couchsurfing for over 12 years, to meet new people and get to know new cultures, try new food and drinks, learn and practice languages and find hidden gems of the cities. I particularly like to get out of comfort zone to discover new activities and places, and to make lifelong friendships.
I am a huge fan of sports, including football, basketball, ping pong and padel. Would be amazing to find a padel or pingpong partner in Vienna!
I like cooking and trying new food, discovering art and music events and learning about the stories of the places. I had two years of pottery classes in case anyone else has interest in ceramics.
My friends would probably describe me as optimistic, cheerful and positive person, always eager to walk walk walk (until someone finds it extremely long!), kind, thoughtful and adventurous. I think I am also a good listener and admirer for great stories of interesting people :)
ded person. I believe that the diversity is richness. Up for meaningful & genuine conversations.
PHILOSOPHY
Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met great people from different countries some of which had an immense effect on my life, in a very positive way. When I turn back and look at Couchsurfing, I realize that my life could be totally different had I not discovered CS.
Interests
As summarized above, my primary interests are the language exchanges (currently trying to remember my German from old times but also speak Turkish, English and French), food and drinks (trying to discover new restaurants and cafes) and photography (mostly with my phone but still, I enjoy making the moments immortal, and sometimes share on instagram -my username is osmann175- Any tips on best photography spots would be awesome)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding camels to spend the night in the middle of desert in Southeastern Morocco, eating local food while watching thousands of stars on the sky and staying in an old tent before the camel ride at sunrise! That was in 2016, and when I lived in a country where I could do these much more easily afterwards (Mauritania), the lesson I learnt was: enjoy every moment the maximum possible! Because such moments are unique.
Participating a local festival in Man, Ivory Coast where the tribal chiefs led us to a forest to feed the chimpanzees by hands!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Turkish language and how to prepare some Turkish food, to play tenis, ping pong or padel. I am not a professional photographer, but I love to take photos and to find picturesque corners around the cities. So photography enthusiasts are welcome to share tips & join for a spontaneous photo session around Vienna.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge and my positive mood with the hosts! My cooking skills, hobbies like shell collecting or sports, culture, art and all other activities with joy!
