ABOUT ME

I'm quiet at first, but once comfortable my willingness to share might border on annoying. If I don't seem enthused about a conversation, it's not because I've lost interest, I've just ceded you the floor because you obviously know more about the topic and I'm totally interested. I can get down to details on Romantic/modern/Beat poetry, Central European/lyrical essay/Collage literature, phenomenology/german idealists, Post-punk rock, Wittgensteinian morality, consciousness and Basketball or distance running. I'll always dance in a warm rain, but anywhere else I really need to be in the mood.
I'm currently a copy-editor at the English language newspaper Shenzhen Daily.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's been a while since I've had a my own couch to offer, but now I do and I'm in a great place, the gateway to China. Located a literal 10 minute subway ride from the Hong Kong border, I welcome any open minds with an interest in any of the many amazing aspects of China to ease there way in on my couch. I've been in Shenzhen for almost three years now, so I'll do my best to give you the low down and some advice to get you started on your China adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the summer of 2009 I traveled with a friend and we stayed with a few hosts. Previously I'd surfed couches on a more informal social network, and this was my introduction to the couchsurfing community. It was such a positive one that I look forward to contributing whatever and whenever I can.
