About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Squeeze every little juicy drop out of life.

ABOUT ME

Talkative, outgoing, with a silly sense of humor.

PHILOSOPHY

Listen to the Beatles, that is my personal philosophy. (oh AND if a recipe asks for one clove of garlic, make it three)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Only recently re-involving myself, my old line of work made it rather difficult. I do not currently have my own house to host people. But I do have a car and local knowledge. I'd be very happy to meet new people and help show travelers a good time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend I was traveling with was a couch surfer. Before a massive trip we met up with a fellow Couchsurfer who was both unbelievably generous and trusting, he helped us a acquire a car and single handedly launched us on life changing adventure. I've never forgotten it, it restored my faith in humanity and inspires me to pay it forward.

Interests

Colorful things, shiny things, old buildings and old people. History. Random (and sometimes scary) reminders of the brevity and tenious nature of life. People and communities whom radiate sunshine and have love in their hearts. I love animals. I like to read. I like to eat vegetables and dream of planting and tending my own someday. I spend my time laughing whenever possible and battle the "too serious" aspects of my job... nature is lovely, hiking, dancing, dancing and more dancing... I have music playing all day if I possible, I pet kitties and dogs any time I can, and I love the smell of water. I feel that I have an artistic soul and am in search of my medium. I stare at the stars, I marvel at how little we all are, and I feel giddy when I think about how lucky I am to be here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived and worked on private yachts for 6 years. Completed 4 transatlantic crossings, line handled through the panama canal, in rough weather witnessed a baby grand piano cartwheel through the salon and explode into bits.. Not sure if this qualifies as "amazing" but these were unique experiences for me :)
