About Me
My husband Mike and I are both retired. He is 69, he was a computer technician. Mike is an avid hiker and photographer, and loves baseball. He usually roots for the Yankees I guess because he is from Brooklyn, New York. I was born and raised in San Diego, California.
I worked as a cook at a Utah Juvenile Detention Facility. What is funny is that I don't like to cook ! Mike likes to cook Chinese food occasionally. I like to do art and crafts but I love to travel. Mike and I use to travel a lot together but now it is just me who wants to travel.
We have 2 small Dogs and a cat.
We live close to Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon National Parks and have been there many times.
We use to live in New Mexico for 8 years and Las Vegas for 14 years. And now in Southern Utah for 14 years.
THE PHOTOS OF MY HOME, THE LAST 19 (some are duplicates) ARE OF MY MOTOR HOME THAT IS PARKED NEXT TO MY HOME, THIS IS WHERE I HOST COUCH SURFERS, once inside the Motor Home there is a lock on the door you can lock for your privacy. We are not vegetarian or vegan but that is fine if you are. We are not affiliated with any particular religion but that is fine if you are. Occasionally we have a little beer or wine but if you don't drink that is OK.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love to meet new people, and hear about the country they are from also about their travel experiences, their life, their views on life, their hobbies and interests.
We have traveled a fair amount and we always remember the people we met that gave us a deeper understanding of their life and where they live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed to the top of Chichen Itza, a Mayan Pyramid in Mexico, and cried at the top because of a moderate fear of heights.
I touched a cobra in India last winter, the cobra owner who plays a flute to distract the cobra stopped and held it by the neck so I could touch it.
I'm dumb, but not that dumb to touch it if he had not held it by the neck ! ; )
I held a bat the size of a cat in Bali.
Teach, Learn, Share
Volunteered at an orphanage in Tiajuana, Mexico for 6 months.

I love this line from a country music song:
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go.
