I am an easygoing, fun loving, adventurous person, always up for something new. These days, I am working for an airline, so I tend to spend a little time in a lot of places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started surfing myself when i was 17, my mum has hosted several people, as have I. I met some amazing people through CS, so nothing but good experiences!

Interests

I love travelling (duh), reading, sleeping and going for long walks with our dog. I enjoy hikes, like to go jogging from time to time and am usually up for something active (though I'm a couch potato at heart). I am a dinosaur-animal-winter-snow-woodfire-surfing-diving-adrenaline enthusiast.

When discovering a new place, I like to try local food, I can either explore all day long, or just relax in a cozy coffeeshop/restaurant, a good book in hand and be perfectly happy with both. If there is a local boardgame cafe, no need to ask if I want to go, the answer is YES. Same goes for karaoke.).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies/Series: a lot. Bollywood and Disney, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Armageddon, Paradise now, Munich, Remember the Titans, Into the Wild, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, It's always Sunny in Philadelphia, all that is Monty Python. I do love me some romcoms from time to time, and Netflix Christmas Specials are my not-so-guilty pleasure.

Music: Same thing. first and foremost Enter Shikari. Rura. Bloc Party, Manu Chao, Heroes del Silencio, The John Butler Trio, Pearl Jam, Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro, aKING, Fokofpolisiekar, Jack Johnson, The Streets, Jack Parow, Zac Brown Band, Die Tuindwergies, Dead Can Dance, Turisas, Ed Sheeran, Johnny Cash, Music from movies, anything that has a harp in it, I'm a sucker for acoustic guitar.

Books: Books about travels. If I had to, I'd read anything though. I love books. and and and! The god of Small things by Arundhati Roy. With the Old breed at Peleliu and Okinawa, Eugene B. Sledge. Our Tragic Universe, Scarlett Thomas. A Song of Ice and Fire, George R R Martin. Outlander, Diana Gabaldon. The Fault in our stars, John Green. Almost anything by Rainbow Rowell. Recently impressed by: Great Expectations, A short history of the world according to sheep.
